Fourth Arrest Made in Maidstone Stabbing Murder
Detectives from Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have charged a fourth suspect over the deadly stabbing of Wesley Adyinka, 37, in Maidstone.
Adyinka was fatally stabbed in the chest near his home on Knightrider Street in the early hours of Sunday 10 February 2019. A woman in her 30s was also attacked and suffered stab wounds at the same scene.
New Charge: Julian Grant Faces Murder Allegations
On Tuesday 30 April, Julian Grant, 27, from Tull Street, Mitcham, Surrey, was charged with joint venture murder and grievous bodily harm with intent. The Crown Prosecution Service gave the green light, and he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday 2 May.
Three Others Already Held for Murder
- Kevin Roach, 39, from South Norwood, London, was charged with murder the day after the attack. He also faces a charge of grievous bodily harm with intent for the stabbing of the woman.
- Rodney Harris, 37, of Mann Close, Surrey, and a 17-year-old boy from Streatham, south-west London, are charged with joint venture murder and grievous bodily harm with intent.
All Four Remanded Ahead of Next Court Date
All suspects remain in custody. They are set to appear together at Maidstone Crown Court on 17 May.
