A 22-year-old man has been charged after a brazen daylight shooting in Smethwick left a man fighting for his life.
Leg Shot in Broad Daylight
On Sunday, 23 November, gunfire erupted on St Pauls Road, Smethwick. A man was shot in the leg and rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Asad Khan Faces Multiple Charges
Asad Khan, 22, was arrested and now faces several serious charges. These include possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and taking a vehicle without consent. Police also found Class A drugs during a search at a related address.
Khan has been remanded ahead of his court appearance today at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court.
Second Man Also in the Dock
This is the second arrest linked to the shooting. Earlier this month, a 19-year-old man was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, wounding, driving offences, and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
