Urgent hunt underway for stabbing suspect in Telford
Young Man Stabbed in Broad Daylight
Detectives are scrambling after a 20-year-old was stabbed in broad daylight on a playing field in Telford. The attack happened around 8.30pm on Saturday, 8 November, at Wellington Road. The victim was rushed to Royal Stoke University Hospital but has thankfully been discharged.
Police Want to Speak to Abubakar Saleem
Officers have released a photo of 21-year-old Abubakar Saleem, who they believe was in the area when the stabbing happened. Police say he could have crucial information about the incident and want to trace him urgently.
Three Arrests Made, Probe Continues
- An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but have since been bailed.
- A 19-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday, 12 November, and remains in custody.
Police are urging anyone with info on the stabbing or Abubakar Saleem’s location to come forward immediately.
