A 36-year-old woman has been locked up for life after being found guilty of murdering her three-year-old daughter in Fordingbridge.
Tragic Death Rocks Local Community
On the evening of 19 October 2017, emergency services were called to a home on Whitsbury Road following concerns for the child’s welfare. Little Bethan Colebourn was rushed to Salisbury District Hospital but sadly died that same night.
Murder Conviction at Winchester Crown Court
Claire Colebourn was convicted of her daughter’s murder on 15 March and sentenced today (18 March) to life imprisonment, serving a minimum of 18 years behind bars.
Heartbroken Father Speaks Out
“There are no words to describe the past 18 months,” said Bethan’s father, Michael Colebourn. “The one thing in my life that gave me purpose has gone.”
