Hundreds Gather to Remember Tragic Southampton Teen

Hundreds turned out at a heartfelt fundraising event in Southampton to honour Lucy McHugh, the 13-year-old schoolgirl whose life was brutally cut short. Lucy’s body was found in woodland near Southampton Sports Centre on July 25, 2018, shocking the local community.

Mother’s Mission: Keeping Lucy’s Memory Alive

The event was organised by Lucy’s mother, Stacey White, determined to raise funds for a cause close to her heart and keep her daughter’s memory alive.

“Lucy was very much a people person. She was friends with everyone she spoke to. She was the sort of person who, if she saw someone upset, she would stop and want to talk to them,” Stacey said.

Trial Date Set for Suspect

Stephen Nicholson from Southampton is set to stand trial this June at 1 Crown Court in connection with Lucy’s murder. The community awaits justice for the young girl whose death shook the city.
