The victim, in his 60s, was missing his mobility scooter – a vital lifeline for getting around.
He was rushed to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital but sadly died later that day. His next of kin have been informed.
Robbery and Murder Suspected in Shocking Incident
Officers believe the man was robbed, and his mobility scooter stolen during the attack.
A woman from Stroud has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and murder. She remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
Police Hunt for Stolen Mobility Scooter
Detectives want anyone who saw a black mobility scooter in the Paganhill area between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Sunday to come forward.
The scooter is described as a four-wheeled model with a front basket and arm rests.
The victim’s mobility scooter was found abandoned on Bisley Old Road before 8 a.m. the same morning by a member of the public.
Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Gloucestershire’s Major Crime Investigation Team is leading the probe. They urge residents to check doorbell cameras and CCTV for any relevant footage of the mobility scooter or suspicious activity.
