Eastbourne Woman Assaulted in Alleyway – Police Hunt Witnesses
Eastbourne cops are on the lookout for anyone who saw an assault in a dark alley off Lushington Lane.
Night Attack Leaves Woman Injured
On Sunday, January 15, an 18-year-old woman was attacked, suffering head and nose injuries. She reported the incident the following day.
Man Arrested but Released on Bail
Police arrested a 19-year-old Eastbourne man on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm, intentional strangulation, and possession of cannabis. He’s now out on strict bail until April 16.
Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
“We’re keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened late Sunday evening or has any CCTV footage,” said Crime Investigator Wendy Murray.
“A nearby woman helped the victim onto a bus, and two men came over to assist after hearing the commotion. We want those people to get in touch.”
