Chaos in Gosport: Kidnap, Crash and Police Hunt After Night of Mayhem

A shocking crash and suspected kidnapping have rattled Alverstoke, Gosport, leaving locals shaken and police scrambling for answers.

Crash and Kidnap Drama Unfolds

On Saturday, January 6, just after 11pm, emergency services were called to Village Road following a terrifying two-car collision.

  • A white Ford Focus smashed into a building housing the Voluptuous Vintage clothing shop.
  • A black BMW 1 Series ran into two pedestrians – a man in his 50s and a 16-year-old girl.

Both victims were rushed to hospital and remain in stable, non-life-threatening condition.

Chaos escalated as two suspects, thought to be teenagers, jumped out of the Ford Focus and bolted towards Western Way.

Kidnapping Linked to High-Speed Pursuit

Police also reported a chilling kidnapping earlier that night. A man was forcibly shoved into a white vehicle on Ferrol Road. Witnesses saw the car speed off, chased closely by a black vehicle – believed to be the BMW involved in the crash.

Three Arrested in Growing Investigation

Officers have now arrested three Gosport men over the incident:

  • 26-year-old: Suspected kidnap and causing injury by careless/inconsiderate driving – currently bailed with conditions until April 7.
  • 20-year-old: Suspected of conspiring to kidnap and dangerous driving – released with no further action.
  • 54-year-old: Suspected of conspiring to kidnap, causing injury due to dangerous driving, and driving under influence of drugs – released with kidnap allegations dropped but still under investigation for drug-driving offences.
