Luton ‘Horror House’ Sex Fiend Admits More Sickening Crimes
One of Bedfordshire’s worst sex offenders has confessed to a fresh batch of vile abuses. Carson Grimes, 69, from Dumfries Street, Luton, appeared at Luton Crown Court yesterday. He pleaded guilty to serious new sexual offences after more victims stepped forward.
Exposed by Media, More Victims Come Forward
Grimes – also known as Carson Phillips – is already serving a life sentence with a minimum of 22 years. He was jailed in October 2021 for 36 sexual offences against nine victims. This was the result of Bedfordshire Police’s biggest ever child sexual exploitation probe.
Following media coverage, including an episode of 24 Hours in Police Custody, more victims bravely reported abuse dating back to 1987-2001. Many were boys from London and Luton who met Grimes and were lured to his “horror house”.
- Grimes gave victims alcohol, cannabis, and Class A drugs
- In return, he demanded they perform sexual acts
- He also assaulted victims while they slept
New Guilty Plea Adds 24 More Charges
Yesterday, Grimes admitted to 24 additional charges, including rape and indecent assault.
“Grimes was a horrific predator who targeted vulnerable children for his own gratification,” said Detective Inspector Clare Gilbert.
“His arrogant belief he could get away with it caused devastating effects. I praise every victim who came forward – their bravery has helped others find courage.”
Detective Chief Superintendent Zara Brown added: “Child sexual abuse can affect any child. This case shows it’s never too late to report. We are here to listen and support survivors.”
