Police are hunting vandals after a massive fire ripped through Boarhunt Garage in Fareham, torching 20 vehicles overnight. The blaze tore through the Police Recovery Yard at Fort Wallington Industrial Estate on Military Road late Sunday, following a shocking firebomb assault aimed at destroying a JCB Telehandler used in a recent ram raid.
Petrol Bombs Ignite Inferno at Industrial Estate
Sources say petrol bombs were hurled over a rear fence, sparking the blaze just before 11pm. Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service raced to the scene as flames engulfed an HGV, 15 cars, and two forklift trucks. Fire crews from Fareham and Cosham battled the wrath for over two hours.
Ram Raid Link Exposed
Exclusive images reveal the charred shell of the lorry, still clutching the burnt telehandler that played a role in a daring Clanfield ram raid. Raiders smashed through a wall at around 3.30am on July 28 to nab an ATM cash point. Another ram raid hit Southsea the following Saturday night.

A police insider confirmed officers are probing all angles of the fire. Hampshire Constabulary said: “We are working closely with Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service to establish the cause of the fire, which is being treated as suspicious.
