One Month On: Sheffield Dad Kevin Pokuta Shot Dead
Today marks one month since 19-year-old Kevin Pokuta, a young dad of two, was tragically shot in Sheffield. Authorities are urgently calling for witnesses to come forward and help crack the case.
Young Father Shot on Page Hall Road
Kevin, father to a seven-month-old baby and a two-year-old toddler, was attacked in the early hours of Tuesday, December 12 on Page Hall Road. Despite medics’ best efforts, he died from his injuries the next day.
Nine Arrests Made in Murder Probe
The murder investigation has so far seen nine arrests. Yesterday, police detained a 23-year-old woman from Chapeltown on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has since been released on bail while inquiries continue.
Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Kemp said the incident has had a “profound impact” on the community, stressing the loss of a “beloved father.”
Increased Police Patrols and Public Appeal

Ongoing Investigation
- Six men aged 21 to 41 have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
- Two women aged 20 and 38 were also arrested for assisting an offender.
