Romanian Man Arrested Over Brutal Murder of Valerie Graves
A Romanian man has been arrested abroad for the shocking murder of Valerie Graves, a 55-year-old mother and grandmother found dead in her Bosham home in 2013.

Valerie was discovered brutally murdered in her bedroom on 30 December 2013, at a property in Smugglers Lane, Bosham, West Sussex. She had been staying there while the owners were away over the festive period.
Cristian Sabou Detained in Romania
Romanian national Cristian Sabou, 27, was arrested at his home in Dej on Wednesday, 10 July, by the Romanian National Police. He was served a European Arrest Warrant issued by a UK district judge.
Extradition Hearing and Next Steps
Sabou appeared at a court in Cluj-Napoca on Thursday, 11 July, for extradition proceedings. He did not contest the extradition and arrangements are underway to bring him back to the UK.
Once back, Sabou will face a magistrates’ court before being sent to Crown Court for trial. Detectives from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team attended the hearing and are continuing to work closely with Romanian authorities.
