A vile predator who raped a 13-year-old girl in Rotherham has finally been caught and is now facing justice. Riyasth Hussain, 45, struck twice in the 2000s, trapping his young victim in a nightmare of abuse. Now in her 30s, the brave woman stepped forward and identified Hussain, known to her as “Riaz,” leading police straight to him.
How Hussain Lured His Young Victim
- Between 2004 and 2006, Hussain pulled up in a car when the girl was being verbally abused on the street.
- He offered help, then convinced her to get into his car.
- He drove her to a deserted industrial estate and raped her before dumping her alone.
- Hussain arranged a second attack, taking her to a remote field and raping her again.
Second Victim Speaks Out
As part of the massive Operation Stovewood investigation, police also heard from another woman raped by Hussain in 2008. She revealed how Hussain barged into a friend’s home and attacked her without warning.
Guilty Verdict Sends Shockwaves
Riyasth Hussain has been found guilty at Sheffield Crown Court of raping both women. He now awaits sentencing on February 19, as the community demands justice after years of horror.
