Six Arrested After Horrific Worthing Stabbing

Six people have been arrested following a stabbing on Wallace Avenue, Worthing, on Monday, March 27. Emergency crews found a man with serious stab wounds on the street at around 9.20pm. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.

Mass Arrests as Police Crack Down

  • Four men, one woman, and a teenage boy have been arrested after a major police investigation.
  • A 21-year-old Worthing man was charged on Thursday with involvement in supplying Class A drugs and released on bail under strict attempted murder conditions.
  • A 44-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman also face suspicion of attempted murder and drug offences; both have been bailed pending further enquiries.
  • The 14-year-old boy was released on bail as investigations continue.
  • On Saturday, a 49-year-old Worthing man was arrested for attempted murder and remains in custody.
  • On Sunday, a 57-year-old man was nabbed on suspicion of assisting an offender and is still held by police.

Police Seek Witnesses as Probe Intensifies

“The investigation has progressed significantly since the assault,” said Detective Chief Inspector Kimball Edey of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team. “We thank everyone who has supported the enquiry and urge witnesses to come forward.”

The police are urgently appealing for anyone who saw suspicious activity near Mill Road, Victoria Park, or Lansdowne Road between 9pm and 9.45pm on the night of the stabbing to get in touch.
