Southampton Cleaning Boss Dodges Jail After Child Sex Chats
Micheal Harris, a cleaning company manager from Bitterne Park, Southampton, narrowly escaped an immediate prison sentence for sexually explicit communications with a child. The offences took place between 16 June and 4 August 2018, as revealed during his hearing at Southampton Crown Court.
Suspended Sentence and Tough Conditions
Harris was handed a six-month prison sentence, suspended for 24 months. He must comply with strict conditions including registering on the Sex Offenders Register for seven years under Section 92 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

Financial Penalties Hit Harris Hard
The court also ordered Harris to pay a £115 victim surcharge and £500 in prosecution costs, adding a financial blow to his suspended sentence.
