Man Stabbed to Death in Cardiff Tent
Jordan Cody-Foster, 31, was fatally stabbed in a tent on Hansen Street, Butetown, Cardiff, at around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. Despite desperate efforts by emergency crews and staff at the Huggard Centre, Jordan could not be saved.
Killer Goes on Bizarre Shopping Spree Before Arrest
Steven White, 44, fled the scene on a bike and was later spotted at Cardiff Bay Retail Park. There, he bizarrely bought a stereo from Argos and a book from Asda, telling police he was preparing for jail. White was caught just two hours after the murder on Habershon Street in Splott.
He pleaded guilty at Cardiff Crown Court on June 8, 2022, halfway through his trial, and was sentenced today at the same court.
Family Heartbroken but Seeks Justice
“Jordan was a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, father, and friend, and we are still in mourning,” said Jordan’s aunt, Delphine Darien.
“Jordan was brutally taken from us by Steven White for no reason. This has devastated everyone who knew and loved him. Justice has been served, but the agony will never end. We will never stop loving Jordan.”
She also thanked South Wales Police and the Huggard Centre staff for their support throughout the trial.
