An 18-year-old has been charged after a brutal stabbing in Eastbourne town centre early Saturday morning.
Stabbing Shakes Eastbourne at Dawn
Police rushed to Terminus Road shortly after 7:30am on 3 May following reports of a man stabbed. The victim, a 30-year-old local, was hospitalised with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Two men initially arrested at the scene were later released with no further action. The investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Logan Horrocks from Newhaven. He now faces grievous bodily harm charges and is remanded in custody ahead of his court appearance on 7 May.
Police Respond and Reassure Locals
Chief Inspector Mark Evans, Eastbourne District Commander, said: “We recognise this incident will have caused concern within the local community. I would like to reassure residents that the matter was dealt with swiftly. We are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.”
Extra police patrols have been deployed in the town centre to reassure the public and maintain safety.
