Three Teens Busted Over Kennington Robbery and Attack

Three 17-year-old boys from Ashford are facing the music after a robbery and assault rocked Kennington.

Robbery at Co-op Sparks Teen Arrests

Kent Police rushed to the Co-op on Faversham Road at 7.33am on Tuesday 26 February 2019. A bottle of alcohol was snatched in a dawn robbery.

Violence Erupts Hours Later

Later that same day, officers were called to Park Road after a teenage boy was viciously assaulted. The victim was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Multiple Charges for Three Ashford Teens

  • Robbery
  • Theft of a bicycle
  • Causing grievous bodily harm with intent
  • Possession of a bladed article (two teens)
  • Assault of an emergency worker (one teen)

On Wednesday 27 February, all three teens were charged. One was bailed to appear at Canterbury Youth Court on 1 April.

The other two faced Margate Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 28 February and will next appear at Canterbury Youth Court on Monday 4 March.
