Fatal Crash Kills Pregnant Woman and Elderly Man in Leopold Street
Tragedy struck on the evening of August 10, 2022, when a black Alfa Romeo fatally hit 37-year-old Noga Sella and 81-year-old Yoram Hirshfeld on Leopold Street at around 9.35pm.
Noga’s husband, Omer, was seriously injured in the smash, along with two children caught up in the collision. Heartbreakingly, Noga was five weeks pregnant at the time, her family confirmed.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Mysterious Motorcyclist
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are desperate to track down a motorcyclist who was near the crash scene. The rider wore a black helmet and was seen turning from Harbour Parade into Leopold Street just before the crash. The bike is described as a cruiser style with a long chrome exhaust.
Officers believe this rider may hold vital clues and urge anyone who knows their identity or saw the biker to come forward immediately.
Dashcam and CCTV Footage Could Crack Case
The police are also calling for anyone who was nearby around 8.30pm to check their dashcams or CCTV. Local businesses with any footage have been urged to help the investigation.
