Three Charged Over New Year’s Eve Stabbing Horror
Three men have been charged following a brutal stabbing on New Year’s night in SE21.
Suspects Named and Court Date Set
Tashan Bailey-Brown, 22, from Bellingham, Denzel Ealmeida, 21, from SE5, and 24-year-old Darren Sotemi, who has no fixed address, were charged on Wednesday, 4 January. They are due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 5 January.
18-Year-Old Left Fighting for Life
Police and ambulance crews rushed to Seeley Drive at around 11.40pm on Sunday, 1 January, after reports of a stabbing. An 18-year-old man was found with serious stab wounds and taken to hospital. He remains in critical condition. Next of kin have been informed.
Wider Investigation Underway
So far, 12 people have been arrested in connection with the attack. Nine have been released on bail as inquiries continue.
