Three Men Jailed for Murder of Teen Callum Riley
Justice was served yesterday at Manchester Crown Court as three men were handed life sentences for the brutal murder of 17-year-old Callum Riley.
Life Behind Bars for Tony Adams and Dale Heywood
Tony Adams, 35, from Minshull New Road, Crewe, was convicted of murder, section 18 assault, possession of an offensive weapon, and criminal damage. He was jailed for life with a minimum of 24 years behind bars.
Dale Heywood, 26, of Windermere Road, Middleton, faced the same charges and received an identical life sentence with a 24-year minimum term.
Teenager Niall Conaghan Also Convicted
Just 18-year-old Niall Conaghan, also from Minshull New Road, pleaded guilty to murder, section 18 assault, criminal damage, and possession of an offensive weapon. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum tariff of 8 years.
Tragic Loss and Strong Sentencing
The harrowing trial laid bare the senseless loss of young Callum Riley. The judge’s tough sentences underline the serious nature of the crimes and act as a warning to deter future violence.
“The sentencing brings closure to Callum’s family and sends a clear message that violence will not be tolerated,” said sources close to the case.
While nothing can undo the pain caused by Callum’s death, the verdict ensures the killers face the full force of the law.
