Two Bedford Drug Dealers Locked Up After Major Police Sting

Two Bedford men tied to notorious ‘Chrisy’ and ‘Sunny’ drug lines have been jailed for over three years each. The Serious and Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) led a proactive probe that smashed these street-level drug operations.

Shiv Nahar Caught Red-Handed

Shiv Nahar, 24, from Moulton Avenue, Bedford, got three years and four months after admitting to supplying Class A drugs. Cops found texts on phones from the ‘Sunny’ line bragging about “fat bagz” and “banging deals” during six raids across Bedford and Luton between January and July.

In June, Bedfordshire Police swooped on an Alexandra Road property where they nabbed Nahar. Officers found cannabis, scales, knives, cling film, and a phone linked to the Sunny number. CCTV also caught Nahar sealing a suspected drug deal in Bedford town centre in May.

Ken Kwezi Behind ‘Chrisy’ Line Sent Down

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Ken Kwezi of Butler Way, Kempston, admitted running the ‘Chrisy’ line, connected to several Class A deals. He pled guilty to supplying cocaine and possessing cocaine and heroin with intent to supply. Luton Crown Court locked him up for four years on Friday.

Operation Alden Hits Hard

  • More than 20 arrests so far
  • Seven drug-dealing phone lines shut down by DDTROs
  • Crackdown continues on Bedford’s drug networks

“Selling drugs is not some low level or minor offence,” warned Detective Inspector Graham McMillan from SOCU. “Dealers exploit vulnerable addicts, recruit children, and fund human trafficking for cannabis factories. Guns, knives, burglary and shoplifting often link back to drug crime.”

“We must stay tough on dealers and protect vulnerable people.”
