On the night of January 14, the trio knocked on Mr Seif’s kitchen door before bursting in. Armed with a large knife, they threatened him and demanded valuables. One of the men also menaced Mr Seif’s wife in the sitting room, snatching her phone. Terrified, she fled outside to get help — only to see her husband staggering in the street with a fatal stab wound to the stomach.
Despite emergency surgery, Mr Seif died the next evening. Police launched a swift investigation leading to the arrest of the three suspects within days.
