Two Young Knifemen Jailed for Brutal Deptford Stabbing

Elijah Morgan and Jedaiah Param Sentenced

Elijah Morgan, 20, and Jedaiah Param, 21, have been locked up for a minimum of 28 years after being found guilty of stabbing 20-year-old Crosslon Davis to death in a Deptford alley.

The Old Bailey trial revealed the chilling details of the savage attack that took place in the early hours of 6 December 2019.

Chased and Stabbed: The Deadly Night Unfolded

CCTV and mobile phone data showed Morgan and Param arriving at Deptford Creek just before Crosslon and a friend. The trouble began when Crosslon attacked Morgan with a mallet inside a minicab. The vehicle drove off briefly, then stopped when Morgan and Param jumped out and started chasing Crosslon.

They were joined by two other masked men, all armed with knives and machetes, who relentlessly pursued and stabbed Crosslon in Ha’penny Hatch alley. Despite his friend’s brave attempt to protect him, Crosslon collapsed from more than nine stab wounds, including fatal injuries to his lung and heart.

Manhunt, Arrests, and Court Verdict

  • Morgan was caught in Birmingham after police recognised him from minicab CCTV.
  • Param was found hiding under a coat in a car at Dover Docks.
  • Both denied the murder but were convicted at the Old Bailey.

Detective Chief Inspector Richard Vandenbergh slammed the attackers: “This was a savage and merciless attack. The number of stab wounds shows their murderous intent. Morgan and Param’s lengthy jail sentences are well deserved.”

Family Heartbreak and Calls for Justice

Crosslon’s mother, Vivienne, gave a heartbreaking victim impact statement. “My life was all about Crosslon. He was the reason I left the house, the first thing on my mind in the morning and the last at night. Their actions have ripped out my heart. Crosslon was polite, respectful, loved by all, and he will be deeply missed.”

Police continue searching for two other attackers. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police immediately.
