Family Shattered as Julia Burns Dies After Hit-and-Run E-Bike Crash

Fatal Smash on Elmwood Avenue

Julia Burns, 31, from feltham/">Feltham, was left fighting for her life after being hit by an e-bike on Elmwood Avenue at around 7.45pm on September 29, 2024. The rider sped off, leaving Julia with life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to hospital but tragically passed away months later on February 13.

19-Year-Old Arrested Over Deadly Collision

Nearly ten months after the crash, police arrested a 19-year-old man on July 24 suspected of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail while detectives continue their probe, which is due to intensify in October. Detective Constable Sarah Royle urged anyone with information to step forward: “Even the smallest detail could make a difference.”

Family’s Heartbreaking Plea for Justice

“Our family is devastated by the tragic loss of our beloved Julia. Her absence has left a void in our lives that can never be filled,” they said. “Julia was the heart and soul of our family. No family should have to watch a loved one suffer the way she did. We are pleading with anyone who may have information to please come forward. Your courage and compassion could help bring justice for Julia.”
