Speed Demon Jordan Sneddon Jailed After Madness on M6 Toll
A motorist who tore through Staffordshire at triple the speed limit — while driving the wrong way on the M6 Toll — has been slammed behind bars.
Jordan Sneddon’s Dangerous Joyride
Jordan Sneddon, 28, from Tamworth, was sentenced to 14 months in prison at Stafford Crown Court on Monday (16 February). He pleaded guilty to dangerous driving.
His shocking stunt began last August when he spun his black MG around at the M6 Toll pay area and blasted the wrong way down the carriageway. Staffordshire Police’s Road Crime Team spotted him again on Pool Lane, where Sneddon refused to stop and sped off at reckless speeds.
High-Speed Chase Through Staffordshire
- The mad dash tore through Burntwood and Lichfield, with Sneddon hitting 90mph in a 30mph zone.
- He blew past a red light and crashed into a roundabout so violently the car actually left the ground.
- The wrecked vehicle finally came to a stop on the A51 towards Rugeley, where officers swooped in and arrested him.
Justice Served and Police Praise
Sneddon was also convicted of failing to provide a specimen for analysis. His driving ban runs for two years and seven months, including an extended re-test to get back on the road.
“Sneddon’s driving was incredibly reckless and could have easily resulted in someone being seriously or fatally injured,” said PC Mark Boyles from the Road Crime Team. “I’m pleased we managed to stop this safely and protected other road users.”
