Armed Police Arrest Man After Assault Allegation in Kent
Kent Police rushed to a Holborough Road home at 2.35pm on Thursday, 14 December 2023, following reports that a woman known to the suspect had been assaulted.
Suspect Threatens Officers, Armed Backup Called
The man reportedly acted aggressively and threatened the officers when they arrived. Armed patrols were called in to support the on-scene police.
Suspect Nabbed with Air Weapon
At around 8.10pm, the man stepped outside the property and was arrested on suspicion of assault and possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. Officers also seized an air weapon from inside the house.
Investigation Continues
Police are still probing the original assault claims and the new alleged offences linked to the arrest.
