A3 SHUT SOUTHBOUND After Single-Vehicle Crash and Oil Spill
The A3 is shut southbound from the B3006 junction to the A2727 near Liss. Hampshire Police closed the road early Friday after a single-vehicle crash left a nasty oil spill on the carriageway.
Driver Arrested for Drink/Drug Driving
One man was arrested at the scene for drink and drug driving. Thankfully, he escaped without injury. He remains in custody at Portsmouth Central Police Station as inquiries continue.

The closure is causing serious disruption. Drivers heading into the area should brace for long delays and may need to reroute.
Official Diversion Route:
- Exit the A3 southbound at Ham Barn roundabout.
- Take the 1st exit onto the B3006.
- Drive through Liss, then turn right onto Farnham Road.
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit to rejoin the A3 southbound.
