Mother of Three Killed After Protest Chaos on M20
A brutal crash on the M20’s hard shoulder has left a mother of three dead. The tragedy unfolded when a car smashed into a stranded motorist and a Good Samaritan who had stopped to help. Lisa Webber, a mother in her late 30s, was among the victims. The collision happened amid chaos caused by eco-protesters blocking nearby roads.
Eco Activists Blamed for ‘Blood on Their Hands’
Environmental activists Morgan Trowland, Lisa Webber, and Marcus Decker have been slammed by critics, with some blaming them for the fatal crash. Marcus Decker dramatically perched on the QEII Bridge during the demonstration, causing gridlock on the M25 and surrounding highways.
“They may not have intended to hurt anyone, but they’ve got blood on their hands now,” said Mark, 54, from Essex, recovering in hospital. “Without the protest, emergency services might have reached the accident in time.”
Protest Brings Traffic Nightmare to Dartford Crossing
The 40-hour Just Stop Oil protest sparked chaos at the Dartford Crossing, forcing desperate drivers to seek alternative routes. This snarled traffic so badly that emergency crews took up to 40 minutes to reach the fatal crash site near Swanley, Kent.
- A cherry picker was even brought in to remove protesters after fireworks were reportedly launched.
- Morgan Trowland, 39, and Marcus Decker, 33, were arrested and charged with public nuisance.
Investigation Ongoing as Police Probe Protest Link
Police have not made any arrests related to the crash yet. A BMW X5 is reported to have crossed three lanes before hitting the victims. The protesters remain accused of indirectly causing the disaster by blocking emergency routes.
Ex-Met detective chief inspector Mick Neville said, “They may not have directly caused the M20 accident, but if their reckless stunt hadn’t happened, the victims wouldn’t have been stranded.”
Just Stop Oil has refused to comment on the tragedy, leaving the public shocked and demanding answers.
