A police van rushing to an emergency smashed into a car near Crook Log, Bexleyheath, just before 9.30am today (March 31). Five people were hurt in the smash, sparking chaos on local roads.

Five Injured in Police Van Crash

The crash involved a police van and a car driven by a man in his 70s. The elderly driver was rushed to hospital as a precaution. Luckily, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Four police officers inside the van were also taken to hospital. Their conditions have not been confirmed yet.

Chaos as Roads Shut Down

  • Both directions of Crook Log and The Broadway were closed after the collision.
  • Emergency crews were quick to respond and manage the scene.
  • All road closures are now lifted, but expect ongoing disruption in the area.
