Six Arrested After Fatal Tonbridge Stabbing – Police Hunt CCTV Footage
Detectives are scrambling to gather CCTV and doorbell camera footage in Tonbridge following a brutal stabbing that claimed the life of a local man in his twenties.
Four Arrests Turn to Six in Murder Probe
The attack happened around Avebury Avenue in the early hours of Friday, August 19, 2022.
- Kent Police were called at 12.55 a.m.
- Ambulance crews responded but the victim died at the scene.
- Six people have now been arrested; two later released without charge.
Currently held on suspicion of murder are a 17-year-old boy from Coulsdon, a 15-year-old girl from Tonbridge, and a 16-year-old boy from Tonbridge. Meanwhile, a 47-year-old woman from Coulsdon faces investigation for assisting an offender.

“We have had a positive response to our appeals for information and are grateful for all the help received from members of the public,” said Detective Chief Inspector Neil Kimber from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone near Nelson Avenue between 11.55 p.m. on August 18 and 12.30 a.m. on August 19.”
“Please check any CCTV or doorbell footage and contact us if you have seen or heard anything, no matter how small.”
