Bag Snatchers on the Loose in Faversham and Sittingbourne!
Market Street Shopper Targeted
On Friday 8 December 2023, a woman shopping on Market Street, Faversham, realised her bag had been tampered with. Her purse, containing cash, vanished without a trace.
Another Theft at Peacocks, Sittingbourne
Just hours later, between 1pm and 1.53pm, a second woman reported her purse stolen while shopping at Peacocks in The Forum, Sittingbourne. Police believe the two incidents are connected.
Related Mobile Phone Theft
A third crime is linked to these purse thefts. On Saturday 2 December, a woman had her mobile phone stolen inside a salon on Albany Road, Sittingbourne, around 1.10pm.
