BMW Fleeing Police Crashes Twice in High-Speed Chase Through Maidstone
Chaos on Royal Engineers’ Road
At 5.50pm on Saturday 3 October 2020, a black BMW 520 refused to stop for cops in Royal Engineers’ Road, sparking a wild police pursuit.
The driver allegedly blew through a red light, smashing into two other cars before racing towards Aylesford at breakneck speed.
Smash-Up at Forstal Road
The drama continued when the BMW swerved off the road at the junction with Lock Lane, crashing into a sign and fence.
The occupants abandoned the wreck and fled on foot before officers arrived.
Suspects Arrested, Investigation Ongoing
- Two Maidstone men, aged 21 and 22, were arrested but released pending further inquiries.
- A third 21-year-old Maidstone man was interviewed under caution and remains under investigation.
Investigating officer PC Lucy Edworthy urged: “We want to hear from anyone who saw what happened, especially two pedestrians near the Forstal Road collision. If you’ve got dashcam footage, please check it and get in touch.”
