Apple Heist Panic on M1: Lorry Driver and Guard Tied Up
Drama struck on the M1’s southbound slip road at Junction 18 between 7.45pm and 8pm on Tuesday, November 10. A lorry driver and his security guard were ambushed, tied up, and left stranded as thieves hijacked their haul.
Trailer Swapped in Crick Before High-Speed Getaway
The gang hauled the lorry to Eldon Close, Crick, where they unloaded the trailer onto a waiting truck. The thieves then fled, abandoning the driver and guard. The stolen truck was later found over the county border in Lutterworth, Leicestershire.
Here, cops believe the crooks shifted 48 pallets packed with Apple products into a third vehicle, making a clean getaway with tech worth a fortune.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Northamptonshire Police are hunting for anyone who spotted strange vehicles on the slip road at Junction 18 during the heist. They want dashcam footage or anyone who noticed suspicious activity that night.
