Man Stabbed on Stapleton Road – Police Hunt Attackers
Just after midnight today, police were alerted to a man with stab wounds on Bristol’s Stapleton Road. Officers rushed to the scene but couldn’t find the attackers. The search is ongoing.
Victim Seriously Injured but Stable
The victim, a man in his thirties, was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening. Meanwhile, Stapleton Road remains closed as police collect evidence.
Investigation Underway – Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
Detective Inspector Laura Miller confirmed officers have spoken to several witnesses and are reviewing CCTV footage. She appealed to the public: “If you saw anything or have information, please get in touch.”
DI Miller added, “While we are keeping an open mind, we do not believe this attack is linked to Tuesday’s stabbing of a 17-year-old on Marksbury Road in south Bristol.”
Extra Patrols and Community Reassurance
Neighbourhood officers are boosting patrols in both Stapleton and Marksbury Road areas. “We understand these violent incidents may worry local communities,” said Miller, “but we are thoroughly investigating and encourage anyone with concerns to approach our officers.”
