Tragedy struck Quarry Green yesterday afternoon when a 20-year-old woman was found fatally injured inside a property. Police were called to the scene at 4.40pm but despite emergency workers’ best efforts, she was pronounced dead at hospital.
Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder
A 19-year-old Liverpool man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He is currently in custody and will be questioned by detectives as the investigation ramps up.
Crime Scene Locked Down, Investigation Underway
A cordon remains in place at Quarry Green 1 as police carry out extensive CCTV reviews, house-to-house inquiries, and forensic examinations.
“Our thoughts first and foremost are with the victim’s family today,” said Detective Inspector Laura Lamping.
“We are in the very early stages of the investigation. While an arrest has been made, we urge anyone with information to come forward.”
