Michael Toohey Dies After Late Afternoon Attack
Michael Toohey, of Oil Street, Liverpool, has died following a savage assault at an internet cafe on London Road. The attack happened around 5.50pm on Saturday 16 April.
A post-mortem confirmed Michael died from multiple injuries suffered in the attack.
Seven Arrested in Connection With Michael’s Murder
Police have now arrested seven suspects over the stabbing/" title="Stabbing" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">stabbing death. Early this morning, a 20-year-old man from Kirkby and two youths aged 14 and 15 from Liverpool were detained on suspicion of murder.
They are currently in custody being questioned.
Earlier this month, Anthony Williams, 31, of Hillbrook Drive, Walton, was charged with murder. Another 33-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested but later released on conditional bail.
On Friday, a 14-year-old from Liverpool and a 25-year-old man from Kirkby were also arrested and subsequently bailed.
A 34-year-old woman from Fazakerley remains on bail after being arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
