“Since we received the report yesterday, officers across Surrey Police have been working tirelessly to bring this man safely back to his family. We now have eight people in custody and there is not believed to be any wider threat to the community,” said Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Hicks.
“Our investigation continues to understand the full circumstances of what happened. We encourage anyone with information to come forward.”
