Murder Horror in Caversham Shakes Berkshire Community
Police have launched a murder probe after a 24-year-old man was stabbed to death in Caversham, Berkshire.
Officers were called to Managua Close at about 12.55am on February 14, where they found the man with a fatal chest wound. Sadly, he died at the scene.
Police Launch Urgent Hunt for Killer
Detective Inspector Nicola Douglas of Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of the man who has sadly lost his life.”
She added: “We are in the very early stages of this investigation and will work quickly and thoroughly to find those responsible.”
A cordon remains in place around the scene and officers are conducting house-to-house enquiries in the area.
Residents Urged to Help with Vital CCTV and Witness Info
Detectives want anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from Managua Close, Nire Road, or Ian Mikado Way between 11pm on February 13 and 1am on February 14 to review their footage.
“If you see anything unusual, no matter how small, please pass it on to help our investigation,” DI Douglas urged.
She also called on witnesses to come forward, saying: “We need to build a clear picture of what happened and the public’s help is vital.”
