Police Crackdown After Teen Stabbed in Slough
A Section 60 order has been imposed in Slough following a stabbing that left a 17-year-old boy injured at around 3.30pm. The crackdown covers the Langley area and surrounding zones, as shown on the police map.
Order Active from Evening Until Tomorrow Morning
The order kicks in from 6.20pm on 21 October and will run until 10am the next day. Police will review it then and may extend the ban if needed.
Police Boost Patrols to Curb Violence
Inspector Craig Woolnough from Slough police station commented: “I fully appreciate the concern that incidents such as this cause in the community, and that has led to this Section 60 order.”
He added: “There will be an increased presence of uniformed officers in these areas, providing reassurance and working to prevent any repeat incidents.”
Stop and Searches to Intensify Under the Order
The order gives officers the power to carry out stop and searches from 6.20pm today. Inspector Woolnough stressed that these powers are not used lightly.
“Please do not be worried if you are stopped by an officer – it does not mean you are in trouble. This is a method to keep weapons off our streets,” he said.
“Expect to see more police and more stop and searches while the order is in effect.”
The move aims to restore calm and prevent further serious violence in the community.
