In the early hours of June 23, 2024, East London witnessed a brutal gang assault that has left the community stunned. A man, recently dropped off by his uncle, was viciously attacked by a gang who smashed car windows and threatened violence, all captured on the vehicle’s dashcam.

Victim Fights Back With Knife as Uncle Watches in Horror

The chilling footage shows the victim desperately fending off his attackers with a knife while pleading with his uncle to drive away and rush to the nearest police station. The uncle’s alarm is evident as he cries out, “Oh my car, it’s all broken!” amidst the chaos on a quiet street.

During this terrifying ordeal, the victim frantically called the Metropolitan Police for urgent help, his voice dripping with fear as he struggled to escape the violent ambush.

Police Confirm Stabbing and Launch Investigation

At 5:10 AM, Metropolitan Police responded to reports of a stabbing on Spencer Road, Rainham. Officers confirmed a man had been approached by a group and stabbed during the attack. The victim managed to self-transport to hospital while reporting the incident.

Thankfully, police say his injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening. The force is now investigating the stabbing and the broader circumstances surrounding the incident.
