Fire Station Raid Shocks Newtownstewart
burglars targeted the fire station on Baronscourt Road, Newtownstewart, last Sunday night.
Late Night Break-In
Inspector McDermott revealed: “We received a report this morning, Monday 20th March, that the fire station had been broken into yesterday, Sunday 19th March. Preliminary investigations suggest the break-in happened between 10.15pm and 10.45pm.”
Two Men Flee in Silver Volkswagen Passat
“Two men dressed in dark clothing entered through the back door before fleeing in a silver or grey Volkswagen Passat with a number of stolen items,” said Inspector McDermott.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Officers are calling on anyone who saw suspicious activity or has CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward. If you have information, call the police on 101 quoting reference 232 20/03/23.
