Man in His 50s Brutally Assaulted Near Margate Seafront
Police are hunting witnesses after a serious assault rocked Margate seafront on Saturday evening.
At around 6.20pm on 19 May, officers responded to reports of a disturbance at Marine Gardens near Albert Terrace. A group of people were involved, and a man in his 50s was viciously attacked.
Suspects Flee on Foot Towards High Street
The suspects fled on foot towards Margate’s High Street, disappearing before police arrived. The victim suffered multiple head and torso injuries and was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.
Officers are scouring the area and appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Detective Inspector’s Urgent Call for Witnesses
“We thank those who have already helped. This assault happened near a busy seafront spot, so someone must have seen something,” said Detective Inspector Mat Scott. “If you have information that could aid our investigation but haven’t yet spoken to police, please get in touch immediately.”
