Tragic Collision on Folly Lane
A man has died following a serious a ccident involving his e-bike and a horse and cart in Chingford. The fatal crash took place at 6.08pm on We dnesday, 4 February, on Folly Lane.
Emergency services a rrived swiftly but the 46-year-old cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Specialist officers are now supporting the victim’s family during this devastating time.
Horse and Cart Driver Held by Police
The 25-year-old driver of the horse and cart was a rrested at the scene on suspicion of wanton and furious driving. He remains in police custody as detectives carry out their investigation.
Police A ppeal for Information
Detective Sergeant Faye Cook of the Met’s Serious Collisions Investigation Unit said: "This is a tragic incident that has resulted in the sad death of a man. We have made an a rrest and our investigation continues."
Officers are urging a nyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage to come forward.
