A 28-year-old man was arrested after a stabbing on Old Bethnal Green Road in East London shocked the local community. The victim, who was found with stab wounds, was rushed to hospital in a stable condition. But the twist? The same man was later nabbed over suspected drug offences.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene around 7pm on Saturday, April 19, after reports of an assault. Officers discovered the injured man and swiftly took him to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening.

Victim Turns Suspect in Drug Probe

In a dramatic turn of events, the man was later arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply drugs and involvement in controlled substance supply. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the case is still under investigation.

A Met spokesperson said:

“The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call 101 quoting reference 5806/19APRIL.”
