Man Fighting for Life After Being Crushed by Tree on Southampton Golf Course
A man in his 40s is in critical condition after a huge tree fell on him at a golf course in Southampton. Emergency crews rushed to the scene in a major rescue operation to free the trapped victim.
Major Rescue Operation at Dibden Golf Centre
The incident unfolded at Dibden Golf Centre, where a fallen tree crushed the man. Firefighters, police, and paramedics scrambled to help. An Urban Search and Rescue adviser from Eastleigh Fire Station was also called in to assist with the complex rescue.
Paramedics treated the man extensively at the scene before rushing him by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital. The Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service, critical care teams, and an air ambulance were all involved.
Potentially Life-Threatening Injuries
A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance confirmed the man suffered potentially life-threatening injuries. Emergency teams praised their “excellent joint working” which helped save valuable time during the rescue and treatment.
