Man Pushed Down Moorgate Tube Stairs in Brutal Assault

British Transport Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify after a shocking assault at Moorgate Underground station.

Violent Incident at Moorgate Station

At around 3pm on Tuesday, May 20, a man standing at the top of the station entrance stairs was hit in the foot by a pram. Moments later, he was shoved down the staircase by another man, smashing his head on multiple steps and suffering serious cuts and bleeding.

The attacker then disappeared into the station immediately after the assault.

Police Appeal: Do You Know This Man?

Officers believe the man captured in the released CCTV image holds vital information about the incident. British Transport Police urge anyone who recognises him to come forward.

“Officers investigating an assault at Moorgate Underground station earlier this week have released this image in connection. The victim was pushed down the stairs, hitting his head and sustaining injuries. The suspect then entered the station.”
