Man Killed After Hit-and-Run Cyclist Attack in Reading
Thames Valley Police have launched a murder probe after a cyclist was fatally struck and assaulted in Reading overnight.
Cyclist Attacked and Hit by Vehicle
Police were called just before midnight on February 14 to Addington Road, near Craven Road, following reports of a collision between a cyclist and a car. Shocking details reveal the cyclist was not only hit but also assaulted by someone inside the vehicle, which then sped off.
Victim Dies at Hospital, Family Supported
The victim, a man in his 30s, later died at Royal Berkshire Hospital. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers during this devastating time.
“We have launched a murder investigation following this incident. Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who has died at this tragic time,” said Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Brangwin.
