Swastika Scrawl Sparks Police Hunt in East London

Vandals Strike Late on Stour Road

Just after 11.30pm on Tuesday, 7 May, three vandals daubed a swastika on a food producer and restaurant in East London’s Stour Road, E3. All dressed in dark clothes, one cycled off while the other two fled on foot towards the canal via Dace Road.

No Arrests Yet, Police Appeal for Witnesses

So far, no suspects have been caught, but Detective Sergeant Fran Latham isn’t taking the incident lightly. She said: “We’ve taken this report extremely seriously and are appealing for anyone who may have seen three people in the Stour Road area around the time of the incident to get in touch with us.”

Targeted Hate Crime Not Tolerated

Police believe the premises were singled out. DS Latham added: “We believe the premises may have been specifically targeted and behaviour such as this will not be tolerated.”
