Teen Fled After Asda Staff Flagged Him – Caught with Suspected Class A Drug

Drama unfolded on Water Lane, Totton, at 3.37pm on Thursday 15 October. Two PCSOs spotted a teenage boy who had been flagged by Asda supermarket security on Maynard Road as a potential suspect.

When officers approached, the teen took off – but a quick-thinking member of the public and the PCSOs tackled him to the ground.

Arrest Made Over Class A Drugs

Police arrived shortly after. A search revealed the 17-year-old Southampton boy was carrying suspected Class A drugs.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and for deliberately obstructing police.

Released, But Investigation Ongoing

The teen was later released under investigation as inquiries continue.
